Alison Krauss

The first wave of public recognition was for bluegrass singer Alison Krauss in 1990 when at just 19, she took home in her first Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. Krauss's third studio album I've Got That Old Feeling was awarded the prize even though she was only 19 years young. The first album, Too Late to Cry came out when the Champaign, Illinois, native was only 16; she been signed to Rounder Records--one of the most prestigious folk label in the business--at the age of fourteen. Krauss is known for her incredible virtuosity and accomplishments, even at such an early age. Her love for bluegrass music, one of the most enduring and unappreciated types of music in the American traditions, is an unavoidable fact. Krauss was now a mature artist and producer having become a teen star. Alison Alison Alison
