Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - January 19th 2007) was an American film, theatre television, voice actress. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and she appeared in films towards the end of the 1950s. She was later featured in notable films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). In later years, she was a part of numerous television shows and was frequently a guest actor. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978 and received a number of Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of the couple were Jewish who were the children of immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer.
