Sharon Yvonne Stone is the sole child of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, a tool-and-die manufacturer and former employee in a manufacturing plant. Sharon was born on 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her three siblings. Stone started second grade at 5 years old. Her parents believed her as being academically gifted. In 1975 Stone graduated from Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). She also competed in Miss Pennsylvania. Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone, along with her Aunt in 1977, made the move to New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week after. After that, she moved back to Europe and spent the whole year in Milan and Paris. Stone did, however, become frustrated with modeling and acting in Europe. She decided to keep her acting career going as an actress while living in Europe. Stone was in Woody Allen's movie "Stardust Memories" at the age of 20. The movie received mixed reviews.
