Anna Heche and Anne Lockhart

Anne Celeste Heche (born in 1939) was an American actress who played a range of characters in films, TV and the theater. She was awarded numerous awards including her Daytime Emmy Award for her performance in the theater and on television. There is a popular belief that Anne turned down the role as Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's 1978 thriller Halloween which was later played by Jaime Lee Curtis. The actor. Carpenter says that he would like her to play the role but she declined the offer down. Anne has no memory of being approached by John Carpenter or being offered the job. It's possible that one of her agents turned down the offer on her account without telling her. Glen Larson, who had provided her with the first draft script of a character of the TV series Battlestar Galactica from 1978, at first, she was chosen. She originally rejected the position as she believed that the character wasn't strong enough. Glen created a brand new character to play for her featuring Sheba as a stronger character. She embraced the Living Legend's script after having read its first 25 pages. The show lasted for just one season. She appeared in Joyride (1977) the movie which she co-starred and was in the film with Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith, Robert Carradine.
